Portrayed throughout the ages with an imposing sword and in a warrior’s armor, Michael is often seen and sensed in hues of gold and near-blinding white light (the kind one sees with eyelids open or closed). His strength and nobility are expressed in a muscular physique, with handsome features. Ancient traditions assign him the highly responsible position of Leader of the Archangelic Realm. In this role, he acts with the best qualities of a great General, a master strategist, and a powerful delegator. Michael will inspire you to believe in and seek the highest good for yourself and others.

What is not as well known, but just as true, about Archangel Michael are his tender-hearted side, and his sense of humor. No one understands better than Michael our deep longing to express the purpose, or purposes, for which we came to earth. His playful observations on life are full of innocent fun.

 In true angel fashion, Archangel Michael never judges. Mistakes are something he views as learning experiences. He will help you to move on and make better choices, forgiving all concerned.

 When you are not sure whether you should have broken up with that boy or girlfriend in the past, Michael will give cheering insight and protect you from hurtful or depressing thoughts. When it comes to love, relationships, friendships, career, money and health, Michael is delighted to assist in opening doors to new opportunities that bring you into greater alignment with your true self. When you need an extra shot of courage, call on Michael and then let him fill you with it. No matter how small or large the task, just ask, and you will find Archangel Michael will help you with it.

You don’t need to be concerned about taking Michael away from other important business. As with any of the Archangels, he possesses “omnipresence”, and is able to be in more than one place at the same time.

What Michael will not do is override your free will. So if we really want his help, we do need to ask for it.

ASKING ARCHANGEL MICHAEL FOR HELP & RECEIVING IT

There are innumerable ways to enlist Archangel Michael’s help and presence. You might start by envisioning the gold and brilliant white aura that surrounds him. Or simply invoke him by his name. For some, it helps to burn candles and light incense while setting the intention to meet with him.

 Michael’s presence and response brings inspiration, focus, insight, bravery, hope, and confidence. He may send ideas, then confirm them with repeated messages that arise from the synchronous events of your day. Listen and act on them! You are being led down a path in response to your guidance. Sometimes, they are the most obvious things, sometimes brand new. The process of being on earth is to continually ask for guidance, so don’t settle until you get your answers. And don’t be discouraged by doors that close. There is always a place for you where the Universe fully and completely supports you, and Michael will help you find it.

 Basically, Michael’s motto is like that of knights of old, “Beauseant!” translated as “Be Glorious!” Another saying that was probably inspired by the Archangel Michael is, “Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway.” Michael won’t have you sit and wait for long. Even in quiet phases, Michael will suggest you work on low-key, personal projects.

 Archangel Michael will help you maintain a joyous, loving heart as you explore your options. Trust that all is working out beautifully and it will. Your trust and faith create an energy pathway which helps maintain the flow of Michael’s support.

 Another way to recognize Michael’s presence is that you will feel inspired, encouraged, and excited about the possibilities for your life. “Never Settle for Less than Your Best,” is a Michaelism. “Follow your Bliss,” though coined by Joseph Campbell, could have been written by Michael. Synchronicities will occur which make the way smooth for you, and which open doors for success and higher learning.

If you wish to try this, meditate in a quiet place, calling upon Archangel Michael to come to you. Have pen and paper ready. As ideas and thoughts arise, write them down without thinking about or judging what you write. Simply let the words flow as you concentrate on the Archangel Michael. Many use this wonderful technique, called automatic writing, with great success on their own. In my seminars, this exercise yields amazing and helpful results, often surprising participants. Do this on a regular basis to stay focused and on your path.

OTHER ABILITIES OF THE ARCHANGEL MICHAEL

Archangel Michael helps things go smoothly as you boldly follow your guidance and seek to align yourself with your highest good. So he is also wonderful for helping with a wide variety of related issues. For example:

 TRAVEL: Call on him when you are experiencing plane turbulence. I have had remarkable results with this. When I call upon Michael to help smooth out turbulence, he appears to me as a supportive presence under the plane’s wing. Somehow the flight always smoothes, with no further bumps or dips. “The other passengers must really be grate ful,” you probably are thinking. The truth is, I always ask silently when I am in a public setting.  Just thinking about Michael activates his aid. No one need know but you or possibly a caring friend you may wish to share the information with. Archangel Michael’s travel assistance extends to baggage being properly handled, air, car and hotel reservations, issues with personnel, and any other travel connection or need.

 CLEARING AND PROTECTION: Michael is the one to call for protection. If you sense dark energies, ask Michael to remove them. Archangel Michael will gladly protect and clear us, but we must remember to ask. I was recently in a museum that had been an institution for the mentally ill in the 1800s. Many clients had suffered terribly there under accepted treatments. There were dark patches of energy throughout the building. I asked Michael to assist. Instantly I noted several new angels flanking me. They were creating a barrier around me, keeping dark energies away. I toured the rest of the museum in peace, sending love and light to the building and its inhabitants. It is this quality of Michael that causes Doreen Virtue, Ph.D., to refer to him as the cosmic Bouncer.

 A friend, also a sensitive, who was with me at this museum, had to exit after becoming quite ill. Fortunately, we were able to help her clear and recover. Archangel Michael is great for lifting and removing all unwanted energies from your aura, physical body, and spirit.

 As part of this ability, Michael is excellent for cutting cords of unwanted attachment. Cords are energy connections to people, places and things which have become dense with fear or other negativity. Cords can also keep you in a situation you no longer desire. Whenever there are cords, they must be cut. The ancients esteemed the Sword of Michael for this purpose.

 Positive attachments, by the way, don’t leave cords. So don’t worry about cutting away the bonds of love and other sources of good in your life.

 RELATIONSHIPS: This leads to a discussion of Michael’s ability to assist with relationships. As we grow, we change. And relationships that are meant to stay with us will adjust. Michael is wonderful for adding new dimensions of love and joy to your current relationships, strengthening positive bonds by adding new possibilities for deepening them. Follow through on these leads, to enhance a relationship and help you ride out life’s changes together in harmony.

 Many, many people have an affinity for Archangel Michael. This is partly because he is such a bright and powerful energy, and therefore one of the easier Archangels to sense.
